Northern Bard Publication needs a new spot!

Northern Bard Publication needs a spot because Facebook charges too much!

"Night of the Tiger", "The Tiger's Cub" and "A Wild Tiger's Heart" deserve so much more that Facebook''s cause. Any takers?

REDRM

In June, we started looking for a new car, as my Chevy Aveo had a problem: It wasn't running! It was going to cost more to do anything for it, as it was 2009 and they had stopped making parts for it, so we gave it to Doug for parts.

We settled on a Nissan Rogue in July 2020, fresh off the lot. We got it into the Maine Registry and, as soon as I could, I got it a special plate.

It was the REDRM. (For those who don't read Stephen King, he refers to if in "The Shining" and "Doctor Sleep". It reads "Murder" in the mirror....)

We (Bill, Pookah and me) were returning from a drive to Vermont, having had a day in which we went to Bruce's gravesite, the former Emmons household in Bristol to pick up another load of things that his step-daughters insisted we needed, a non-profit Cabot Creamery (they were open Friday - Sunday and we were there on Monday) and we went to a place in Bethlehem, New Hampshire to eat. We "fought" over the Hurricane Mountain Road as we bypassed it in North Conway (it was raining on the peak, so we went with Route 302) and we were almost in Maine when a deer came out - and we found out how much the bags where worth!

We came out alright, short of a couple of bruises.

The REDRM and the deer passed.

I'm at home, REDRM-less, and at the hands of Bill's red truck.

😕

ADDENDUM: I got my new REDRM the day before Thanksgiving. It's a Subaru Forester with all of the gear!  Yahoo!

The 60th birthday

60 years ago, I was born....or at least, birthday came within the week.

I was told that 60 meant that I was detached, immature, and was going toward dementia.

I feel good!

What is 60 supposed to be?

Is THIS what makes a President?

The U.S. Constitution.

OUR Constitution!

What made the Republicans think we were going for anything BUT the U.S. Constitution?

TRUMP!

The Trump who insisted that Georgia RECOUNT THEIR VOTES!

The Trump who insisted that HE won the election!

THE TRUMP WHO, ACCORDING TO ME, SHOULD BE UNDER TREASON!

This was not the way the U.S. Constitution was written!

Trump vs Biden

Whether or not you won the vote and are planning on moving out of the White House to let the next President in doesn't matter:

Unless you're Donald J. Trump.

Never have I seen a President "stop the vote".

Never have I seen a President "insist on having the vote recounted".

Never have I seen a President insist that HE'S who the voting was for.

Give it up, Donald J. Trump! Give the White House to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris!

More than half-way through....

What can we say about 2020?

Covid-19 has been in our ranks since the beginning.

Our President has been getting ALL SORTS of "information" that's false (but he won't believe it).

Covid-19 is playing with us on the "student" front, asking us "do we send our children to possible come home with Covid-19 or do we do what we have already done and keep them home?"

Our world is sick and getting sicker, and all we have is a President whose asking "What if we were to do the People's Vote later in the year?"

*sigh*

We're voting in November. Hopefully, Biden gets the vote.

Otherwise, does Canada have a place for me?

Goodbye, 2019. Hello, 2020.

Writing as the snow falls, reminding me that it's almost 2020.....

And I have so much that happened in 2019....

*sigh*

It started off alright. We enjoyed a "break" in March that we greatly enjoyed (although it was cold in Jackman).

Then the "snit" hit "the cylindrical object".

We started to get a lot of calls about relatives in Vermont....

And Bill had to go to their place in Vermont several times over the year.

I went over with him in September, when they were moved to a place in Winsooki, Vermont to help them - and he was mentally "ill" in addition to his current idea that he had to get out of "that place" and she was just demented enough to agree. It didn't end well for him. He broke his hip, was transferred to a hospital - and died there.

She was transferred to the second floor, and is still there. Her daughters look out for her, but she's there until she breaks a hip or something.

So sad.

So...

I hope for a better 2020 - or at least better that 2019.

Happy New Year.
