Speech Therapy, The Gardens, and All Else

On my doctor visit last week (mostly to talk about my "health issues" and line me up for a few things before we meet again August 6 for the "physical"), he discussed Speech Therapy. Now, as a cancer survivor, I can join at the Dempsey Center for free or I can wait for him...

Part of me wants to join the Dempsey Center, which gives the classes to cancer victims and survivors for free (which the "Dempsey Challenge" provides for) and, if I'm successful, I can get into the running/walking race if I take Yoga as well as Speech. The only thing is whether or not they're doing Yoga and Speech in the mornings...

Or I can wait for the EMHS Health to post where I can go.....

Decisions decisions....

My hubby helped me to get our garden in - the one that comes up with the veggies. He's also helped me to pick up honeysuckle vines and is waiting for an opportune moment to plant the dahlias that my son, daughter-in-law and grandkids brought me. (The honeysuckle was planted about a month ago.) There's something about a plant that no longer comes up and the dahlia wanting to be in the same space that needs his attention....

*grin*

Of course, he's got his own "chores" to do, along with getting a bunch of trees out of the immediate garden spot. There was once a space that had no trees when we moved in, but that has gone hog wild with trees. The son, the daughter-in-law and the youngest child stopped by to help him with it on Saturday, so quite a lot of the "cutting down and hauling to the pit" has been done....and I have a very happy hubby.

Now it's my time to go through the bricks that we decided to haul out of the back yard to replace all of the bricks that no longer exist in the front walkway and use the extra to make the bleeding hearts stay in their spot.....

This may take a while.....

*grin*
